Postpartum Doulas
Postpartum Doulas help ease the transition to motherhood by both “mothering the mother,” and providing various types of support for mother, baby, and family. The role of the Postpartum Doula varies slightly depending on the needs and desires of each individual family.
Services include:
- Assisting with newborn care, family adjustment, meal preparation, light housekeeping
- Offering information on breastfeeding, emotional and physical recovery from childbirth, infant soothing, baby care basics, baby wearing, and coping skills for new parents
- Caring for baby, allowing for mother and family to rest
